3月31日10:00am(ブエノスアイレス現地時間)にアルゼンチンのRadio Jai 96.3という局で話しました。時差はちょうど12時間なんですね。今回はWhatsAppを使いました。便利になりました。
涙の原稿直し
今原稿を直しています。イディッシュ語でやった発表を、英語で文章化したものです。コメントをもらったのでそれを直してます。締切は3月末。間に合うんでしょうか。この前は、別件で、日本語でやった発表を英語にして、そのあとスペイン語にしました（泣）。いまスペイン人の人がチェックしてくれています。
当たり前のことですが作文は、言語だけの問題じゃないと思います。言語化する前に頭の中で整理して、良い表現を探せるかどうかというところが大きいと思います。言語も頭の整理もなにもかも全部できるといいんですけどね。作業になっちゃうとひたすら辛いんで、私は誰に読んでもらいたいかなと思いながらやります。自分が面白いと思っていることを誰かと共有したいです。文章の拙さがなんとかなれば心の負担も減るのになあ。。。
というわけで原稿を直しているのですが、自分の文章を見返すのがすごく恥ずかしいです。昔書いたものを読むのはそれなりに楽しいのですが、今の自分の文章をみるのはほとんど血の滲むような作業です。
でも、ある俳優が有名な俳優でも、自分の作品を見返す人と、見返さない人がいると言っていました。タイプなんですかね。ちょっとホッとしました（ちなみに私は見返さない派です。声とか変な気がします）。でも、もともとバッチリ表現できる人もいるだろうしな。

なんか外から見ると、お花見って独特な文化だなと思いました。来年はやってみたいです。
Bosaizukin cover
Do you know, in Japan, if children go to school or kindergarten, mothers (father could but usually, mothers take more responsibilities. I hope it will be changed in the future) have to prepare for the children's new lives.
This year, I sew specific bags, place mats, wiping clothes and Bosaizukin cover, a cover for Bosaizukin, the biggest one with Doraemon on the photo.

It is kinds of helmet but soft, flat, light and simple. At schools, students keep Bosaizukin with them for just in case. They put on their head if earthquake or fire happen against something falling down and attack them, fire whatever. If it is covered, it takes more times to put it one's head because he has to open it.
Honestly saying, I am against covering Bosaizukin. it is because, as a person who was born in Shizuoka prefecture, people concern more about earthquakes etc., never covered Bosaizukin cover with a special bag which make difficult to pull it out, I haven't understood why they need covers. But I hesitated to tell so to the school teachers and made a cover.....
Actually, for me, Bosaizukin cover was more complicated to make than the other things (maybe that's the reason why I didn't want).
If you don't want to make it by yourself, don't worry. You can buy them or order them to some specific shops or friends.
Anyway, I have done... and school year in Japan starts from April.

Kakehashi 2-14
For Shabes we visited Oshman Family JCC. Very nice atmosphere for a shabes, Shabbat, weekend. We walked around the campus with Rabbi Serena Eizenberg and a Japanese woman who is living there. Then we attended to Sabbat morning service and noshed. It was a peaceful moment and I loved them.
ユダヤ人のコミュニティセンター、なんとここにもスポーツジムが併設されています。プールも充実していて、なかなか魅力的です。シャバットサービスにも参加しました。同時にいくつかのサービスが行われています。テーマが分かれていました。トーラーリーディングの他に、トーラーのお勉強、キッズ、メディテーションがテーマになったサービスが並行して行われていました（わかりにくくてすみません）。自分で好きなところを選んで参加します。途中で入ったり抜けたりもできますので気楽に入れます。
わたしは今まで、一つのシナゴーグで一つのサービスが行われるスタイルしか知りませんでしたが、今回の訪問のおかげで一つのシナゴーグで複数のサービスが行われているところもあると知りました。

We visited the Farm. Peaceful atmosphere, tranquility, fun, fresh vegetables, place for kids, clean air... everything I need!!!! I loved them very much!

野菜や花やハーブを育てていました。
水の浄化につかう魚やめんどり、ヤギも飼っているみたいです。
水耕栽培もしていました。
水の浄化に使えなくなった魚と、卵を産まなくなっためんどりは食べちゃうそうです。ファームができてから８年目くらい経ったそうです。ここで作った野菜のほとんどは週末に来た人に無料で提供しているそうです。肉はスタッフや研修にきた人たちが食べるそうです。子どもたちもファームが好きで来るそうです。寄付やイベントの参加費でお金を集めているそうです。
８年間もうまくいっているなんてすごいなと思いました。

I had a nice conversation in Yiddish, I felt great. I don’t know why but talking Yiddish with nice people is always very good for my soul. I believe it will happen to me with Ladino in the future! Love them!
Rabbi Cooper introduced me Rabbi Marvin Hier because he speaks Yiddish. We talked in Yiddish and I was very happy. I’ve heard after the meeting he had hid birthday party and there he talked about me! yay!

We celebrated Purim 2019 together with people at the Peninsula Sinai Congregation and I met my friend from Yiddish by accident!!!! And I found she was the person to read Megillah. Then her reading was great, incredible.
Since we have mostly talked in Yiddish, I haven’t know that she could read Hebrew soooooo good and ahe had such a talent.
Until today, we couldn’t seen each other roughly around ten years. It was a nes (miracle) that we met there. Very happy.

We visited Rabbi Cooper at Simon Wiesenthal Center. Rabbi Cooper described us many things about the relationships between Jewish people and Japan.

On the day, a professor from AJC leaded us to show the UCLA campus. We could visit another professor and her students at UCLA. Actually, I met them there three weeks ago. I asked to establish a short course (maybe for one week? Please!!) for Ladino. It is because I want to learn it. Love them!
なんといってみるとそこにいたのは、三週間前に参加したUCLAのラディノの集会で会った研究者達でした！「日本人がくるってきいてたけど、まさかあなたにも会うとはは。あなた日本に帰ってから、また来たの？それともあれからずっとこっちにいたの？」と聞かれました。どこでもドアができたら欲しいです。

記事を書いてくださったのは、ハリウッドのシナゴーグのラビです。
私のことを若くてイディッシュも流暢と書いてくださいました。このとしになると若いって言われると気分も上がります。最近私がやってるラディノ活動のことにも触れてくれて、とっても嬉しいです。
I had the unusual pleasure this week of welcoming into my synagogue 10 young Japanese men and women scholars of Judaism, Jewish history, Zionism, anti-Semitism, and Jewish thought. Their biographies are all impressive and frankly, I was stunned by the depth and breadth of their intellectual and academic concerns and interests.
One young woman, a post-doctoral researcher, speaks fluent Yiddish and teaches it at Tokyo University. She intends to learn Ladino next because she is interested in the encounter between Jews and Muslims during the Middle Ages
Acctually I am teaching at Tokyo University for Foreign Studies but I know its English name is so similar to the University of Tokyo where I taught Yiddish for a semester and I am currently doing my Post doctoral research....
